Next step for Northcote’s new community hub

In exciting news, we are delighted to be able to share the next step for the Northcote community hub. The concept design for an impressive new multi-purpose community hub for Northcote, and an upgraded Puāwai Cadness Reserve, has now been approved by Kaipātiki Local Board.

NORTHART will be leaving its current location in the Norman King building on January 25 2025. The NORTHART Team would like to call on the community and members to support us through this transitional period. Auckland Council’s urban regeneration agency, Eke Panuku, is leading the project, as part of the revitalisation of Northcote to help the neighbourhood to thrive. Another key project is the redevelopment of the town centre – Northcote Central. New shops, offices, apartments, laneways, and a new town square are all part of the plan, expected to start from 2027.
