Northart Gallery Assistant

Northart is the North Shore’s public art gallery. We are a not-for-profit with a longstanding history and commitment to contemporary New Zealand art. Our vision is to provide quality art experiences that are contemporary, innovative and relevant and encourage an awareness of and involvement in the visual arts.

Northart is looking for a new team member for the role of Gallery Assistant.

This position is part time, four days per week, with extra hours time-to-time for events including weekday and weekend shifts. It is sole charge at times. 

The Gallery Assistant role is a varied and exciting opportunity best suited to a person with a background in art history or visual arts. It is a key support role that encompasses front of house responsibilities, exhibition installation and administration including the co-ordination of volunteers and the gallery website.

This is a permanent part-time position offering 24 hours per week with occassional additional hours. We can offer an immediate start to the right candidate.
